Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Kids Engagement Activities with The Thought Bulb

What are kids engagement activities for corporate family day events?

Kids engagement activities for corporate family days are organised, supervised experiences that keep children busy and entertained throughout a company event. They include arts and crafts stations, giant outdoor games, scavenger hunts, carnival game zones, science experiment workshops, storytelling sessions, and parent-child team challenges. The Thought Bulb plans and runs this kind of kids programming for corporate family days in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and other major Southeast Asian cities.

What age groups are catered for in your kids activities?

Our kids programming caters to children from age 2 and up. We generally split them into three bands: toddlers and preschoolers (2–5 years) enjoy gentle sensory and creative play; primary schoolers (6–12 years) get active games, craft projects, and team challenges; and teenagers (13–17 years) take on more demanding puzzles, competitive games, and skill-based workshops. Each zone is run by facilitators trained specifically for that age group.

What safety measures are in place for children at your events?

Nothing matters more to us than safety in our kids programming. Our protocols cover pre-event inspections of every activity area and piece of equipment, trained supervisors held to defined child-to-staff ratios, first-aid-trained personnel on site, clearly marked and separated zones with controlled entry and exit, carefully age-matched activities, and wristband or registration systems to keep track of every child. Every supervisor is background-verified before the event.

Can parents and children participate together in activities?

Yes, and we genuinely encourage it. We build a set of activities specifically for parent-child pairs or mixed family teams — joint art installations, parent-child relay races, cooking or baking challenges, and team treasure hunts among them. These shared moments often turn out to be the highlight of a Family Day. We design the schedule so there are both children-only zones, for when parents want a breather, and activities the whole family does together.

How many children can be accommodated at a corporate event?

Our kids programmes scale from 10 children to several hundred, depending on the activity format and the venue. At larger events we run a multi-zone carousel, with children moving between stations in small groups so each child gets proper time at every station. We size the staffing and zone layout around the number and age spread of children expected, and we always lean towards more supervision rather than less.

Do you provide equipment and materials for kids activities?

Yes. We bring all the equipment, craft materials, game props, and activity kits for our kids programmes, so there is nothing for you to source or set up. Our team arrives ahead of time to build every station and handles the teardown and waste clearance once the event wraps. We also provide branded keepsakes — artwork takeaways or activity certificates, for example — that children can carry home as souvenirs of the day.
