What are virtual team building activities?
They are live, facilitator-led online programmes that help remote and hybrid teams connect, collaborate and build trust without anyone needing to be in the same room. Hosted on the likes of Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, they fold in interactive games, group challenges, workshops and debriefs. Which video platform do virtual team building activities run on?
It does not matter which one — our virtual activities are platform-agnostic. We host on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex or whatever video conferencing tool your team is already on. The facilitators take care of all the technical bits — breakout rooms, polls, shared screens, the activity tools themselves — so your people only have to show up and join in.
How long do virtual team building activities last?
Most of ours land somewhere between 60 and 180 minutes. The shorter slots of 60 to 90 minutes suit regular team check-ins or smaller groups nicely. Stretch to 120 to 180 minutes and you make room for deeper engagement, several rounds of activity, and a proper debrief. For annual team days or big company-wide events, half-day and full-day virtual formats are available too.
How many people can join a virtual team building session?
Anywhere from 3 to 3,000. Once you go past 50, we split everyone into breakout rooms of 6 to 10 who compete or collaborate as sub-teams, then pull the whole group back together for inter-team moments at the key beats. The point of that structure is to keep everyone involved — not just the most confident voices — from start to finish.
