Completely. These activities are built so that no one needs any technical background to take part. The unfamiliarity of the technology is actually the whole point — it stands everyone on equal footing, which builds psychological safety and flattens the hierarchy. Non-technical teams often end up enjoying them more precisely because there is no resident "tech expert" running the show. Our facilitators take care of the setup, the briefing and all the support, leaving participants free to focus entirely on the challenge and on each other.

Innovation activities are experiential — people learn by doing, using technology and group challenges to flex creative thinking and collaboration in a high-energy format. A design thinking workshop is a more structured learning programme that teaches one specific methodology: empathise, define, ideate, prototype, test. The Thought Bulb runs both — hands-on innovation activities for team events and offsites, and a formal Design Thinking Made Easy training programme for teams that want to bake the framework into how they work every day.

They can. A good number of our technology-based activities are designed to run either indoors or out. AR treasure hunts come into their own outdoors — hotel grounds, corporate campuses, around a city. Drone challenges, eco-technology builds and outdoor tech terrain challenges all need open-air space. The indoor formats — VR, AI activities, robotics — sit happily in conference rooms, ballrooms or any sizeable covered space. We will steer you to the best fit based on your venue and group size.

Each innovation activity comes with a debrief written for that specific experience, tying it back to behaviours people use at work. AR treasure hunts strengthen cross-functional communication. AI creative challenges train rapid ideation and getting past the blank page. Drone and robotics builds sharpen project management, delegation and iterative problem-solving.
