1The Challenge
What was the challenge?
Comviva gathered its team in Bali around a clear mandate: tighten cohesion, break down silos, and grow the kind of trust that translates into real performance. Managers from across the country came together for a three-day immersive engagement experience built for Comviva, with the focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and team bonding through highly interactive, story-driven challenges.
2Our Solution
What solution did we design?
The engagement was built around two large-scale immersive experiences — the Missing Boss Challenge and the Upside Down Challenge — each designed to fuse storytelling, teamwork, and strategic thinking into a highly engaging format.
3How We Did It
How was the programme delivered?
Day 1 split participants into 9 teams for the Missing Boss Challenge, an investigation into the mysterious kidnapping of their own CFO. Bespoke crime scenes, AR clues, evidence trails, and interactive setups turned the group into detectives, with teams collaborating across locations to track down the culprit.
Day 2 brought the Upside Down Challenge, drawing on Stranger Things. Teams worked through layered escape-box puzzles that built toward a collaborative finale, where everyone used lasers and reflectors together to "destroy" a digital portal.
The final day opened with a blooper reel of fun moments and highlights from the earlier challenges, pulling the group together through laughter and shared memories.
4Key Outcomes
What were the results?
The workshop made the case for immersive experiential learning as a way to strengthen collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. Through storytelling, gamification, and shared challenges, Comviva's people built stronger interpersonal connections while creating memorable experiences together.
The team finished the programme rating it 9.6/10 overall, with facilitation independently scored at 9.7/10. In the weeks afterward, Comviva reported a clear, lasting improvement in cross-team communication — and went on to engage The Thought Bulb again for a follow-up session.
