1The Challenge

What was the challenge?

120 participants from OAP India came together at Bhaktapur Durbar Square for a high-energy engagement workshop. A UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its rich culture, temples, and traditional architecture, the venue made the ideal backdrop for a fun-filled experiential challenge built around exploration, collaboration, and local immersion.

2Our Solution

What solution did we design?

The workshop was built around the Tech Terrain Challenge, in which participants were divided into 8 teams and sent across different parts of Bhaktapur to complete location-based tasks, photo and video challenges, and interactive activities with locals.

3How We Did It

How was the programme delivered?

The challenge opened with an energetic flag-off before teams fanned out across the heritage square. Participants worked through engaging tasks — performing a Tandav dance, bargaining with street vendors, and pitching marketing ideas for local shops. Along the way, teams roamed the streets of Bhaktapur, struck up conversations with locals, captured memorable moments, and soaked up the culture of Nepal, all while competing against one another. The experience wrapped with a prize hamper for the winning team, and every participant went home with a curated goodie bag full of keepsakes from Nepal.

4Key Outcomes

What were the results?

The workshop showed how experiential outdoor engagement can strengthen collaboration, communication, and team bonding in a natural, enjoyable way. By pairing competition with cultural exploration, OAP India's people built meaningful shared experiences and lasting memories together. All 120 attendees finished the programme rating it 9.6/10 overall, with facilitation independently scored at 9.8/10. In the weeks that followed, OAP India reported a clear, lasting improvement in cross-team communication — and went on to engage The Thought Bulb again for a follow-up session.
